The Synod Service

The Synod Service will be held at 7.00pm on Tuesday 10 May in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin. This will be a service of Holy Communion. The preacher will be the Right Reverend James Jones, Bishop of Liverpool. The collection at the Synod Service will be for the benefit of Bishops’ Appeal.

There will be private bus transport leaving at 6.00pm for St Patrick’s Cathedral on Tuesday 10 May and returning afterwards. Tickets may be purchased at the Synod reception desk by 2.00pm on Tuesday for €4.00. There is a multi-story public car park in Werburgh Street.

Parking during General Synod

Due to an extension to the hotel, there are fewer parking places this year. Further parking places are available in the adjacent housing estates. If you are planning to bring your car, you should allow some additional time for parking.

Cloakroom facilities

Cloakroom facilities are available in the conference reception area in the Stillorgan Park Hotel from 9.00 am each day. Coats, bags and anything else not required during the session should be left in the cloakroom.

Members are requested not to leave bags and coats in the main conference room as they can hinder movement between the rows of seats and could cause an obstruction in the event of an emergency evacuation of the hall. Fire exits from the venue will be clearly marked.

Lunch will be available in the following locations on a cash basis:
Turf Club Bar – snacks from €5.50;
Merrion Suite (adjacent to conference room) – sandwiches from €5.00;
