Altogether, there are 216 representatives of the clerical order, and 432 representatives of the lay order.

The other House of the General Synod is the House of Bishops, consisting of the ten bishops and two archbishops of the Church of Ireland. 11 members of the House of Bishops were in attendance this year as the See of Limerick is currently vacant pending the consecration of the Revd Canon Trevor Williams, whose election was confirmed by the House of Bishops on the first day of this year’s General Synod
