The formal business of the General Synod continues, with the agreement of the timetable for the three-day session, and the approval of Motions 2 and 3.

Motion 2 makes minor amendments to bills procedure, and Motion 3 amends the Synod's Standing Orders to allow ecumenical guests to address the Synod (Standing Orders have hitherto had to be temporarily suspended in order to allow ecumenical guests to speak).

Formal communications and reports have been laid on the table, and the report of the Bills Committee has been read by Mr Samuel Harper, Honorary Secretary.
