The report of the Liturgical Advisory Committee was proposed by the Bishop of Cashel and Ossory, the Rt Revd Michael Burrows. He said that the work remained central to the Church and referred to the work being done to provide material for the forthcoming centenary commemorations. He spoke of the Bilingual Services Book produced in association with Cumann Gaelach na hEaglish.

He highlighted the Worship Workshop which is to be made available for use in primary schools.

Bishop Burrows said that this would be his last time to speak on behalf of the LAC having been associated with it for 21 years. “My years of involvement have been part of his life and it has been a privilege to be part of the Church’s articulation of prayer,” he commented.

The report was seconded by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Revd Alan Abernethy.

The report of the Liturgical Advisory Committee was received. The membership of the committee was agreed to include: the Rt Revd Harold Miller, Ven Richard Rountree, Revd Canon Gerald Field, Rev Canon Michael Kennedy, Rev Adrian Dorrian, Revd Robert Ferris, Revd Peter McDowell, Revd Kenneth Rue, Revd Alan Rufli, Revd Dr Peter Thomson, Ms Julie Bell, Mrs Alison Cadden and Ms Jacqueline Mullen.
