Motions 1, 2 and 3 have been presented at General Synod in Dún Laoghaire today (Thursday May 12).

Motion No 1 dealt with the timetable for General Synod 2015. Motion No 2 saw Mrs Pauline High (Connor) elected to the Petitions Committee and Motion No 3 saw the Ven George Davison elected to the Bills Committee.

Archdeacon Davison said there had been no petitions to this year’s Synod.

Mr Harper presented the Report of the Bills Committee. He said the committee noted that the Commission on Episcopal Ministry and Structures had informed them of their intention to withdraw Bill No 2.

The Bishop of Cork, the Rt Revd Paul Colton introduced the Bills procedure at General Synod. The Archdeacon went through the Bills.
