The General Synod of the Church of Ireland 2016 has drawn to a close following three days of deliberations.
Mr Sam Harper gave the attendance figures for General Synod. The attendance on day one was recorded at 453, on day two 425 people attended and on day three there were 305 people in attendance. The resolution to publish the journal of the proceedings of General Synod was passed.
Archbishop Richard Clarke concluded proceedings by thanking all who made Synod possible including the Honorary Secretaries, staff at Church House, and the Assessor.
The Archbishop of Dublin thanked the Archbishop of Armagh for giving everyone an opportunity to speak at Synod, and his thoughtfulness and carefulness in preparing the Presidential Address.
Synod concluded with a moment of quiet and the saying of the grace.
