The General Synod of the Church of Ireland will meet in Belfast
at the Waterfront Hall from 15 - 17 May 2000. The General
Synod is the main decision making body of the Church of Ireland,
meeting once a year to discuss and decide on work within the Church.
The proposed hours of Synod are as follows:
Monday 11am - 6.30pm
Tuesday 10am - 6.30pm
Wednesday 10am - 4.30pm
A service of Holy Communion for General Synod will be held in St
Anne's Cathedral, Belfast on Monday 15 May at 7.15pm.
Audio feeds of key events and debates during General Synod will
be available on this website. There will also be regular reports
on debates from the Synod along with photos
and information on fringe events and other activities during Synod.
You will also be able to read the draft reports
that are being presented to General Synod and view the timetable
for business proposed for each day.
Delegates attending General Synod 2000 will also be able to avail
of many resources
on this website including details of accommodation, leisure activities
and travel information.

details in the Media
Centre along with links to key media outlets.
