The General Synod Media Centre will provide a informative, working environment with full facilities for journalists and broadcasters alike.

Accreditation - All media intending to cover General Synod must receive accreditation on arrival from Jenny Compston at the Press Reception. This will entitle you to work freely around General Synod.

The Media Centre will be open from 0800 -1800 each day and is situated on the first level of the Waterfront Hall. There will be a live audio feed from the Synod Hall to the Media Centre to allow you to follow debate as it happens. A table for journalists will also be available in the Synod Hall.

The Synod Press Officer and support staff will keep you informed of progress and speakers during each debate and will attempt to answer your questions.

Copies of speeches and reports are available from the Press Reception.

Light Refreshments including tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits will be available throughout the day. Lunch vouchers will be provided for working media only.

Diocesan Communication Officers and Diocesan Radio Officers will also be able to avail of the facilities in the Media Centre to report on the proceedings of General Synod to key media outlets in their diocese.
