LITURGICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE

NOTES FOR THE INFORMATION OF GENERAL SYNOD MEMBERS

As stated in the Report of the Liturgical Advisory Committee to the General Synod of 1998 that Committee is in the process of making a revision of the Book of Common Prayer.

The General Synod in 1998 gave general approval to the table of contents of a revised Book of Common Prayer with a projected time-table.

To that end certain Resolutions and Bills have been provided and others are in preparation in the hope that by 2004 a definitive book can be provided.

Four Bills and nine Resolutions are provided this year.

The date of commencement for any Statute arising from such Resolution or Bill shall be such day as may hereafter be appointed by the General Synod, except for Bill No.3 which would come into effect immediately.
