The General Synod of the Church of Ireland met in Dublin at the O'Reilly Hall in the campus of
University College, Dublin from 15 - 17 May 2001. The
General Synod is the main decision
making body of the Church of Ireland, meeting once a year to discuss
and decide on work within the Church.
The proposed hours of Synod are as follows:
Tuesday 11.00am - 6.30pm
Wednesday 10.00am - 6.30pm
Thursday 10.00am - 4.30pm
A service of Holy Communion for General Synod was held in St. Patrick's Cathedral on Tuesday 15 May at
7.30 pm.
