The General Synod of the Church of Ireland meets in Kilkenny in the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny from 8th May to 10th May. The General Synod is the main decision making body of the Church of Ireland, meeting once a year to discuss and decide on work within the Church. A service of Holy Communion for General Synod will be held in St Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny on the evening of Tuesday, 8th May
