The General Synod of the Church of Ireland met in Galway in the Radisson Hotel on 13th May to 16th May, 2008.

The General Synod is the main decision making body of the Church of Ireland, meeting once a year to discuss and decide on work within the Church. A service of Holy Communion for General Synod was held in St Nicholas' Cathedral, Galway on the evening of Tuesday, 13th May
