Mailing to Members

The documents and other data relating to the meeting of the General Synod 2011 were mailed from Church House on Thursday 21st April.

The Book of Reports was mailed to members under separate cover directly from the printers and is also available online.

THE SYNOD SERVICE
The General Synod Eucharist will be held at 7.00pm on Thursday 12 May in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh
The collection at this service will be for the benefit of Bishops’ Appeal. 

Lunch Arrangements 
Lunch will be available at the following locations:

  • A two course lunch will be served in the Friary Restaurant (pre-booking is required) for £13.50.
  • A carvery lunch will be served in the Callan Lounge from £8.00.
  • Pastries, soup, sandwiches and tea/coffee will be served in the Deli (in the hotel reception area) from £5.50.
  • A buffet lunch will be served in Fisher One (adjacent to the main conference room) for £8.50.
  • Dinner in the Friary Restaurant is served up to 9.30pm (pre-booking is required).
Mobile Telephones
Members are reminded that mobile telephones must be turned off in the chamber when the General Synod is in session.

Facilities for the Disabled
All facilities for members are situated either on the ground floor (entrance level), or on the lower ground floor (conference room) of the Armagh City Hotel.  Please contact the Synod Office at the above address if you require any special facilities.  If you require the Synod documentation in an alternative format, please contact the Synod Office. Armagh Cathedral is accessible for wheelchair users.
