The General Synod Media Centre will provide an informative, working environment with facilities for journalists and broadcasters alike.

Internet Access
The Armagh City Hotel offers a wireless broadband facility and this is available in the main concourse area.

Any person who has a wireless adapter for their laptop can avail of this service.

Please ask for information at hotel reception.

The charges are:

£15 per day for a block of 24 hours (continuous access)
£6 per hour (continuous access)

Accreditation
All media intending to cover General Synod must receive accreditation on arrival from Jenny Compston at the Press Office. This will entitle you to work freely around General Synod.

Media Centre
The Media Centre will be open from 0830 -1800 each day.   A table for journalists will also be available in the Synod Hall.

The Synod Press Officer, Brian Parker, and the support staff will keep you informed of progress and speakers during each debate and will attempt to answer your questions.

Copies of speeches and reports are available from the Press Office or can be downloaded from this website.

Diocesan Communication Officers and Diocesan Radio Officers will also be able to avail of the facilities in the Media Centre to report on the proceedings of General Synod to key media outlets in their dioceses.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.
