The General Synod of the Church of Ireland meets in Dublin at the Conference Centre in the Stillorgan Park Hotel from 10 - 12 May 2005.

The General Synod is the main decision making body of the Church of Ireland, meeting once a year to discuss and decide on work within the Church.

A service of Holy Communion for General Synod will be held in St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin on Tuesday 10 May at 7.00 pm. The preacher will be the Right Reverend James Jones, Bishop of Liverpool. The collection at the Synod Service will be for the benefit of Bishops’ Appeal.

Regular reports on debates from the Synod along with photos and information on fringe events and other activities during Synod are available on this website. You will also be able to read the draft reports that are presented to General Synod and view the timetable for business for each day.

Delegates attending General Synod 2002 will also be able to avail of many resources on this website including details of accommodation, leisure activities and travel information.
