BILL NO 6
Explanatory Memorandum
This Bill seeks to expand the provisions for ministry to the sick
made in the book of Alternative Occasional Services in 1993 and
includes forms for use when the laying on of hands or anointing are
used with prayer for healing. It provides forms of Holy Communion
for use in hospital or at home, and also a selection of prayers
tailored to the needs of the sick and housebound. There is also a
Service for Wholeness and Healing for use in parishes when ministry
to the sick is offered. Finally extensive provision is made for
ministry at the time of death.
